My name is Lynne Bereza, and for me, yoga has been life-changing. From the first moment I stepped onto a yoga mat, even though I had no idea what to do, I felt like I had found a home. Everyone’s yoga journey is different, but when asked why this practice has become an integral part of my life, my typical answer is that it brings me joy. Not the short-lived adrenaline rush of a great workout (which is also great!) but a deep-rooted feeling of peace, well-being, and complete ease in my body.

Yoga is YOUR practice and yours alone. My mission is to guide your yoga practice in a way that works for you, in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment. Yoga is truly for everybody, of every age, shape, size, and ability.

I discovered yoga when a friend of mine invited me to attend a yoga class she was teaching. After a few classes I began to feel the benefits of the practice, not just physically but emotionally and physiologically as well. It soon became an essential part of my life.  After practicing yoga for several years, I enrolled in the Yoga Centre Winnipeg Teacher Training Program and in September 2016 received my YCWTT 200hrs. Since then I have participated in Summer Intensive Workshops at Yoga Centre Winnipeg and continue my studies through yoga classes and workshops in the Advanced Teacher Training Program at YCW.  Teaching has given me the opportunity to share my love of yoga, working with body and breath and finding a sense of peace within.


The intention of each class I teach is: "To think of your yoga practice as exploration rather than exercise. Exploring your body, your mind, your breath, and bring all three into union"

Offering both Strength Training and Block Therapy classes allows me to provide my clients with the benefits of both worlds. Strength training provides improvements in muscle strength, endurance, tone, helps with weight loss and protects joints from injury, while Block Therapy provides releasing of adhesions and restrictions of fascia, blocking oxygen, nutrients and blood flow to our cells. This allows for our body to create space in all our cells, to allow the flow again, the functions to become efficient again and allow for efficient removal of toxins, wastes and even negative emotions all trapped in the cells. The combination of releasing the fascia and strengthening your body will create harmony and balance. No matter your current fitness level or experience, I can work with you to create a program that meets your needs. I am passionate about helping you achieve your goals, and committed to providing a safe, welcoming environment for all of my clients. Empower'd Barre Fusion is a music-based fitness class that blends so many things:

~barre training

~functional strength training

~aerobic movement

~dynamic stretching

This is a low impact, high energy fitness class format designed to encompass and welcome all levels of fitness.

 

In @empowerdmethod Barre Fusion class we work our body head to toe, starting with a warm up, using body weight, dumbbells, the barre, resistance bands and more! We end every class with a great cool down/stretching routine.

​

We provide all the equipment, so you just need to bring yourself.

My name is Dr. Murray Russell and I am a board certified Chiropractic Doctor with over 21 Years Experience treating all ages of individuals from every background. My passion has always been to help people become the best versions of themselves by not only helping their body heal from injury and stress, but helping them create more wellness in their lives by teaching, sharing, and supporting them in their own individual wellness journey. I have had the privilege of growing up here in Portage la Prairie on the family farm, and learning about hard work and the importance of family and support. I left home when I was 19 to pursue a career in Chiropractic which led me to Valley City State University in North Dakota for 4 years to study Athletic Training and Human Biology and Performance. I then travelled to Minneapolis Minnesota to Complete my 4+ year training in Chiropractic and graduated with my Doctor of Chiropractic Degree in 2001 from Northwestern Health Sciences University. I then went on to work in several settings over 20+ years throughout Minnesota, New York, and California, and was blessed to have worked with some of the most talented and successful Chiropractors and Healers along the way. I eventually made my way back to the Prairies in Manitoba after wanting to reconnect with my family and begin another chapter of my life and career by helping give back my knowledge and care to the place I grew up with as a Kid. My many travels and experiences have taught me that we all have the capacity to be healthy and whole and that by removing the barriers that stand in the way, we can become all that we can be in this life and more. I am truly blessed and exited to have the opportunity to serve you and I hope your experience with me is positive, healing, and life changing.
